Responsible Gaming

Decide the shape of your gambling before you start

The choices that actually protect a bankroll are made before any bet is placed, not during play. Once real money is moving, judgement narrows and rules made in advance are far easier to keep than rules improvised in the moment.

  • Set the amount first, then treat it as spent. Deciding what you can afford to lose before you start, and mentally writing it off the moment you deposit it, removes the pressure of watching a "live" balance you still feel entitled to recover.
  • Never chase a loss. Increasing a stake to win back what is already gone usually turns one loss into a bigger one, because it replaces a plan with a reaction.
  • Keep gambling away from borrowed money or money earmarked for bills. Money that has another job attached to it turns an ordinary loss into a debt problem.
  • Take breaks during a session. Stepping away, even briefly, gives you a chance to check whether you are still playing for entertainment or trying to fix an earlier result.
  • Involve someone else early. Telling a partner, friend or family member as soon as gambling stops feeling like entertainment is far easier while the amounts involved are still small.
  • Remember the eighteen-and-over restriction that applies throughout this site. It is repeated on the front page and at the end of every operator listing here.

Find independent help alongside every page

Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: gamblinghelpline.co.nz, gamblingtherapy.org and pgf.nz. These are the only outbound links anywhere on the site that are not commercial: they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisation's own website. This site receives nothing when a reader follows one.

  • gamblinghelpline.co.nz — linked on every page, including this one
  • gamblingtherapy.org — linked on every page, including this one
  • pgf.nz — linked on every page, including this one

Each of the ten operator listings on this site closes with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules and terms apply there and can change without notice.

Know what this site cannot do for you

Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion are features of an account held with an operator. This build has no account, no form and no server-side application behind it, so nothing published here can switch one of those controls on, check its status, or enforce it. Anyone who wants those controls has to set them up inside the account at the destination, after following an operator link from here.

  • Nobody's age is verified on this site, and no gambling takes place on it; any check of that kind happens only at the destination after you leave.
  • Everything you can actually do with money happens after leaving this site: each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that point the destination's own rules, checks and account controls apply, not anything published on this page.
  • No advertising or behavioural profiling network runs on these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader based on prior gambling behaviour.
